Linda Girimonte, LMHC

Linda is a therapist specializing in individual, couples, and family therapy .Linda is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) who has been practicing psychotherapy since 2015. She received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and an Advanced Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus.

Linda is truly passionate about helping clients discover self-awareness and wholeness for a deeper sense of healing. Her approach is a blend of traditional psychotherapy, positive psychology, mindfulness, and spirituality in order to help others feel “whole” again. She assists her clients to utilize the mind/body connection to overcome trauma, manage stress, thrive emotionally, and create the life they desire. She guides her clients toward self-awareness that leads to self-discovery and healing.

Linda has a clinical interest in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) a type of psychotherapeutic treatment that helps patients understand the thoughts and feelings that influence behaviors. She does believe that it’s not just about analyzing the emotional state or changing thoughts and behaviors. It’s about all the ways in which people interact with their world and their overall sense of being. Linda loves to learn and continues to attend workshops, training, and seminars to increase her capacity to serve.

Prior to working as an LMHC, Linda worked at Developmental Disabilities Institute as an Applied Behavior Specialist. She has worked with adults and children experiencing emotional and behavioral disorders, including Learning Disorders and Autism Spectrum Disorder. She then continued her career to work with families that were displaced from their homes. As a case manager in a homeless shelter, she was able to assist families in identifying short and long-term goals, secure employment, and obtaining permanent housing. She has a wide range of life and educational experiences rooted in helping individuals, families, and couples from a variety of backgrounds and age demographics.


Jennifer Simmons, LCSW

Jennifer is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who has been working in the field since 2016. She received her Master’s of Social Work degree at Stonybrook University, with a specialization in trauma. Jennifer’s advanced trainings include Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders and Perinatal Loss and Grief and bereavement through Seleni Institute and the MOMS 2020 Training Program in Maternal Mental Health.

Jennifer collaborates with adults, adolescents, families and couples. Jennifer’s aim is to reduce distress and help clients find healthy ways of coping with stressors.

Jennifer’s approaches to psychotherapy include interventions that are trauma-focused, faith-based and cognitive behavioral based.

Jennifer’s work experiences include providing psycho-therapy services in both English and Spanish at community mental health clinics, with an emphasis on work with teenagers and families. Jennifer has also provided counseling to pregnant and postpartum women considering adoption and provided community outreach, education, and training to professionals on adoption services. In addition, Jennifer volunteered as a rape crisis counselor for several years, providing emotional support to rape victims and their families.

We believe that training and experience are valuable in becoming a great Therapist. That is why we participate in our local Graduate Internship Programs. We will have Interns throughout the year that are available for sessions at a reduced fee.
